The origin story
Have you ever watched a movie that made you realize your operating system needs a patch?
That was me after watching Inside Out 2.
Seriously, the damn Pixar sequel caused a paradigm shift that wouldn’t let me shake a simple question:
“What decisions are you making out of joy?”
That night, LootCastPuff was born.
On paper, life was good. An MBA. A successful insurance brokerage. Clients I’m proud to work for.
What was missing wasn’t money or clout. It was unfettered joy.
LootCastPuff is my answer: a decision made purely out of joy, from the corner of the universe that still believes in magic.
And that’s how it’s going to stay.
In Memory of CountofESU: 6/25/1955 to 6/23/2022
LootCastPuff is also a legacy.
My father, known in extremely small circles as the CountofESU, was the original multi-class adventurer.
His sacred space?
The Salmon River in Pulaski, New York. He went there every year to reset, and I carry that tradition forward.
And Puff? Puff is so much more than cannabis. Puff is the stuffed dragon my father gave me on my first day on this earth, there to protect me when he wasn’t around, keep the darkness at bay, and push me to explore this fantastical world.
Even now, grown from a boy into a man, he’s my oldest, most prized possession.
Puff shows that kindness isn’t weakness. The world is a place to explore, make friends, and spread joy, and we are powerful like a dragon. Darkness can’t encroach on our light.
