Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on LootCastPuff pay the HQ a few coins if you buy. It never changes your price, and it never changes what makes a list. Here is exactly how that works.

What an affiliate link is

A product link marked with a small gold coin in a post, or a “See it at Amazon” button in the Armory, is an affiliate link. If you click it and buy something, the retailer may pay LootCastPuff LLC a small commission. You pay the same price either way.

Programs we may participate in

LootCastPuff LLC is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, LootCastPuff LLC earns from qualifying purchases. Active today: Amazon. If we join other programs (fishing and gaming retailers), this page names each one the day it goes live.

How a starred link works

In a post, a starred product name links straight to Amazon and says so with a small “Amazon ★” mark. In the Armory, the “See it at Amazon” buttons go through a short address on this site (lootcastpuff.com/go/…) so the link keeps working if a listing changes. In the Armory kits, one starred button sends the items you ticked straight to your Amazon cart: Amazon may ask you to sign in or confirm first, nothing is bought until you check out there, and you can remove anything. Amazon sets a cookie in your browser so it knows the visit came from here. We count the click on our side too: a Google Analytics event with the item’s name, never who you are. No tool on this site (the Lure Wheel, the Vault, the river pages, the counters) carries an affiliate link.

Cannabis

Cannabis on this site is writing, not retail. There are no links to cannabis products, dispensaries or paraphernalia, paid or unpaid, and there won’t be.

What we promise

• Nothing goes in the Armory that hasn’t been on the water or on the desk. Commissions never decide what makes a list.
• Every affiliate link is marked with a gold coin, and posts that contain them say so at the top.
• Guestbook entries and the Bot Book never carry affiliate links.
• The Weekend Field Manual and any PDF we make contain no affiliate links at all.
• Tips go through Ko-fi to LootCastPuff LLC. A tip buys nothing and unlocks nothing.
• This disclosure is provided in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and testimonials.
